Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) is an apex national body which organize and support, mountaineering and rock climbing expeditions at high altitudes in the Himalayas. The organization also promotes and encourages schemes for related adventure activities and environment-protection work in the Indian Himalayas.
Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM) is working under the aegis of Ministry of Defence, Govt of Uttarakhand and also considered as the most prestigious mountaineering institute in Asia. NIM is the only mountaineering institute in India certified by the international federation for climbing and mountaineering - UIAA.
The Department of Tourism, J&K, is the main developmental, promotional and regulatory arm of the J&K Government. Its main role comprises of overall planning and execution of schemes for the development, upgradation and improvement of tourism infrastructure in different parts of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Hanifl Centre for Outdoor Education and Environmental Study established in 2003. It has an outreach of Woodstock School, Mussoorie - Celebrating over 169 years in the Himalaya. Hanifl Centre was built to extend the School’s curriculum and to provide a facility and programmes through which students and visitors can learn about the Himalaya and develop their skills and knowledge in outdoor education.
