Details
Nafran Valley Trek is the most pristine and scenic trek in Kashmir. This trek has remained famous for offbeat trekking where one sees serenity, has an abundance of mountain streams and long lush meadows with gorgeous jungle walks leading to the alpine lake, Harnag or Harbhagwan lake.
This trek has Harnag Lake, which is at an altitude of 3500m, a great attraction. One has to pass over the famous and legendary Harnag Pass. The pass is traditionally used by shepherds and highland people to cross over to other valleys and move towards Kolahoi Glacier.
In summer the best months to visit are from July to October. These months have pleasant weather, and the trip looks stunning with dense conifer forests, lush landscape and snow-peaked mountains.

Itinerary
Srinagar (drive) – Aru

The clients will be picked up from Srinagar in a cab and the same cab would take you to Aru valley. We shall be spending the night in Aru valley, which is the famous base camp for so many treks in the valley. The Overa-Aru Biosphere Reserve is a famous destination for horseback riding and heliskiing in the winters. The last point where you would be getting any network would be Pahalgam. Our camp site would be right next to the mighty Lidder river in Aru.
Aru (trek begins) – Arampathri

Orientation at Aru. Trek starts from Aru to Arampathri meadow. To reach this meadow we cross various mountain streams and small meadow on the way. The campsite is located at a very perfect place right by the mountain stream coming straight from the Harnag Pass. We camp here for the night.

Acclimatizing day at Arampathri. We explore Dudwad valley from Arampathri. It would be a nice scenic till the meadow and acclimatizing for the next day trek to the lake.
Arampathri – (via) Nafran Valley – Harbhagwan Lake – Arampathri

We start our day early as we have to go to Harbhagwan lake via the beautiful Nafran Valley. Nafran Valley Trek meanders through beautiful patches of grassy land and alpine forest and has an abundance ofmountain streams. One has to pass over the famous and legendary Harnag Pass to reach Harbhagwan Lake which is a great attraction. The pass is traditionally used by shepherds and highland people to cross over to other valleys and move towards Kolahoi Glacier.
Arampathri – Aru

Finally, we descend from Homwas and cross through familiar forests and trails. Our first stop is at Lidderwat where we have our lunch and then continue our descend to Aru. The clients may choose to stay back to explore Pahalgam or drive back from Aru and reach Srinagar on the same day.
