For those who relish the idea of a winter wonderland, then Kashmir during winter can get quite exciting. The entire Aru valley is covered with a blanket of 6-8 ft. snow. Life comes to a halt during winters as one can’t find too many people around. Stunning winterscapes loom largely adorned with imposing mountain peaks in the backdrop, and partially frozen pine trees cut the picture of a mesmerizing sight around. Experience the thrill of staying in “Munni ka Ghar” from the movie, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, relishing the essence of immersive Kashmiri culture amidst the locals.
In winter the best months to visit are from January to March. It is during this time that Kashmir experiences the peak winter season, with temperatures going quite low, offering scenic views of snow clad mountains.

Itinerary
Srinagar (drive) – Pahalgam (overnight stay)

The clients shall be picked up from the Srinagar airport and directly driven to Pahalgam via car. They would be spending 2-3 the night in a Hotel in Pahalgam.
Pahalgam (drive) – Aru (overnight stay)

After some local sightseeing, the clients shall move towards Aru. Their overnight stay would either be in a homestay or a guest house. This extra night in Aru would be helpful for the clients to get acclimatized to the weather conditions and the altitude.
Aru (trek begins) – Saun Pathri (stay in mud houses)

The clients will start their trek to Saun Pathri meadow. We make an early start to reach timely to our campsite and enjoy the nature along the way. We shall be spending the night in Shepherd Mud Houses and immersing in the culture.
Saun Pathri – Green Top – Saun Pathri (stay in mud houses)

The clients make an start early to Green top from Saun Pathri meadow in order to make the most of the daylight hours and
have ample time to enjoy the spectacular views from Green top. We shall be carrying our packed lunches with us. We shall be returning to Saun Pathri and spend the night in mud houses again.
Saun Pathri – Aru
